Beginner Old-Time Bootcamp
Mickey & Michelle are delighted to be running the Dorrigo Old-Time Bootcamp.
Are you new to old time session playing?
Wanna learn to play by ear?
Has it been a few years since you picked up your instrument?
Do you feel nervous about joining in the jam sessions over the festival weekend?
Do you want to learn some fun tunes at a friendly pace?
Mickey & Michelle have got you covered!
Participants will spend two days learning great old time tunes, chord accompaniment and ornaments at a leisurely pace. Everything will be taught by ear, with sheet music made available afterwards. Suggested 1-3 years minimum experience on your instrument for you to get the most out of the class.
Just bring your instrument(s) and come along for the ride. You’ll get everything you need to join in the jam sessions at the Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass festival weekend, or you’ll be prepared for next year’s Old-Time Music School.
Price: $60 per day, $120 for both days. You’ll get the most out of the workshop if you attend both days.
