FAQs

The Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival is held on Gumbaynggirr country in Dorrigo, NSW, Australia. We acknowledge and pay our respect to elders both past and present. The Festival takes place at the Dorrigo Showgrounds 4180 Waterfall Way.

Here are some answers to our most commonly asked questions:

  • 2020’s dates are the 23rd-25th October.
  • The 18th DF&BF Inc. 2019 starts at 6pm on the 25th October.
  • We aim to be a drug, alcohol, smoke and plastic free event.
  • There are no pets or bikes allowed onsite, dogs are strictly permitted with medical reasoning.
  • There is Food and Drink available at the Festival Site. Our Food Stalls cater for all dietary needs.

Tickets and Ticket Office

Are there early bird discounts?

Early Bird 1 tickets are available 20th March- 31st August.
Early Bird 2 tickets are available 1st September- 30th September.
Full Price tickets 1st October-27th October.
Tickets will be available online until Sunday the 27th October.

How will I receive my ticket?

If you purchase your ticket online you will receive an eTicket. eTickets are electronically issued tickets, i.e. they are delivered to you by email. The Festival partners with Trybooking for tickets to the festival. Please print out these tickets and bring them to the festival with you. When you first arrive at the festival, please go to the box-office where we will then issue your wristbands.

Are tickets available at the Festival?

You will be able to purchase tickets at the Festival from 10am on Friday the 25th October

When does the Ticket Office open?

Ticket Office hours are:

  • Fri 25th: 10am-late
  • Sat 26th: 8am-late
  • Sun 27th: 9am-late

Can I get a replacement wristband?

No. Please take care of your wristband as we will not replace your damaged wristband with a new one.

Camping

Can I camp?

Camping is available at the Dorrigo Showgrounds on Festival Site.

Are there powered sites?

Powered Camping books out the quickest. If you have a health condition which requires Power please contact DFBFIncticketing@gmail.com and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Are there amenities?

There are Amenities (showers and toilets) on site. Please be resepectful and clean up after yourself.

How many camp sites are there?

There is plenty of Un-Powered Camping available.

What are the conditions of camping at the Festival?

When purchasing please make sure that you read the Camping Terms & ConditionsCamping Terms & Conditions as we’d hate to cause offense at enforcing rules which are not being recognised.

Merchandise

Can I buy merch?

Yes. The Festival Merchandise shop will open:

  • Fri 25th: 6pm
  • Sat 26th: 9am
  • Sun 27th: 9am

What merch is available?

Both Festival Merchandise and Performers Merchandise will be for sale.

Can I buy merch online?

Festival Merchandise is only available during the Festival Weekend.

Programme

Are programmes available?

Hard copy programmes will be available at the Ticket Office.

Will the programme be online?

The programme will be released on the website however we ask that you do pay for a hardcopy of the programme on the Festival weekend as the money raised goes toward 2020’s Line-up.

Volunteering

Can I volunteer?

Yes! Volunteer Applications are open 20th March – 1st July

How do I apply?

Volunteer applications for DF&BF Inc 2019 can only be made via our website by completing an online application form. All Volunteers for DF&BF Inc 2019 are required to complete the online application form including volunteers who have worked in a volunteer position in previous festivals.

Can volunteers attend shows & workshops?

If you volunteer for the 2019 festival you will receive festival pass – 9 hours volunteering entitles you to a Full Weekend Pass… so when you’re not “on duty” you can enjoy the Festival!
