The Good Behaviours play exquisite chamber-folk wrapped in old-time-banjo. Nick Henderson composes music of cinematic beauty inspired by the mighty Dyarubbin, beautiful Dharawal country and a deep well of musical inspiration spanning jazz, post-rock and instrumental folk.
Joined by some of Australia’s most virtuosic instrumentalists, Chris Stone (violin) and Holly Downes (double bass), Emily-Rose Sarkova (accordion) and Felix Lalanne (guitar) they make a veritable supergroup spanning the Australian folk and jazz scenes.
Their 1st release, 2023’s ‘Home’ has recently been awarded Best Debut Album at the 2024 Australian Folk Music Awards. The Good Behaviours have had audiences spellbound on a 16 leg national tour launching their 2nd album ‘It’ll Be Alright’ and will be appearing at the 2024/2025 Woodford Folk Festival and ‘Your Roots are Showing’ conference in Killarney, Ireland as offical showcase artists in January 2025.
