Girrwaa Duguula (People Together) Community Choir teaches participants how to sing traditional and popular songs created by First Nations people in Gumbaynggirr and English. Participants don’t need any experience singing or learning language, just a willingness to try new things. Uncle Micklo Jarrett teaches the language and Ruth Kennedy facilitates the singing. The choir were a wonderful addition to the festival’s opening ceremony in 2024 and we are excited to have them back in 2025!
