Pierre Filliez began his acting career in Switzerland, his native country, in 2000. He then completed a diploma in Physical Theatre at the International Theatre School of Jaques Lecoq in Paris, France. Since then he has co-founded Shake Shake Theatre with his wife and partner Jessica Nicholls. In Germany, he collaborated with Drehbühne Berlin, OFAJ, he taught theater at the Menagerie e.V. and has produced and performed his own theatre pieces throughout Europe. Since 2022 Pierre has lived in Australia, with his family. He teaches regular physical theatre classes at NIDA and works as a Clown Doctor with the Humour Foundation. Since 2023 he has been a mentor at Riverside Theatre’s annual Sharp Short Theatre competition for young people. Pierre also creates masks, puppets and commissioned art works, that are sold internationally.
