Kym is a soulful poet, award-winning songwriter and long time local of the Bellingen Shire. With a haunting voice and deep reverence for country, she evokes a sense of ecological connection masterfully pertinent to our times. Kym has played music festivals across Australia and beyond and yet many of her songs are seeded in the remote wilderness of the Guy Fawkes River country.
Kym and her band unveil the delicate and poignant places of the heart. With a uniquely evocative combination of guitar, ukulele, keyboard, drums, viola and other assorted splashes of magic, they weave intrepid, dynamic musical landscapes to carry the songs home.

‘In extraordinary times for the earth and all of her inhabitants, I sense the spirit of song as full with a longing to remind us of our fleeting lives on a planet, a longing to remind us of not just where we live, but with whom we share the journey – human and non-human. A longing to articulate the fragile places between adversity and tenderness, grief and beauty, suffering and hope – complacency and action.’

‘Kym Pitman delivers with a disarming, and charming, authenticity … a clarity of vision which sees the world with a tenderness and love – flawless in its honesty and perceptiveness. Each new experience opens up exciting and surprising vistas of beauty.
