Alan Glover has been performing shows as a stand-up throughout Australia and Internationally for almost three decades! From Cairns to Perth, Darwin to Melbourne and countless clubs & pubs in between. Internationally, Alan’s honest Australian-ness has given foreign audiences a very funny and educational experience.
He’s performed several times in Singapore, Canada, the USA, Ireland, the Netherlands and New Zealand. At the beginning of this century, Alan lived in London for a year, performing the busy comedy hub of the UK.
Personal, ridiculous, engaging, observational and exceptionally funny, Alan’s routines range from the forests of Australia to the jungle of Canberra.
Since returning from the UK, Alan Glover has been touring the Australian Festival circuit performing annually at Woodford Folk Festival, Cobargo & Yackandandah Folk Festivals, Port Fairy Folk Festival as well as Canberra’s National Folk Festival. Alan has performed at many other festivals including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, Sydney Comedy Festival, Newcastle Fringe Festival, Nimbin Mardi Grass, Tamworth Country Music Festival, and the inaugural Spike Milligan Comedy Festival on the NSW Central Coast.
This is the first time the Dorrigo Folk & Bluegrass Festival is implementing comedy into the programme, may we welcome to the stage, Mr Alan Glover.
